Information with regard to this project was provided by Chandra Seneviratne, Assistant Director of, LUPPD office of Kandy. According to her information, the EA1P1 project of the World Bank has been active in 7 districts. The funds were divided among several State Departments. This project which was implemented during the period between 1996 and 2000, developed the concept of developing plans for specific land parcels. Within this project the NRMC was advising the farmers about the suitability of the land to grow specific crops.
