The information with regarding this project was provided by Mr. H.M. Bandara: District Agriculture Director, Kandy there was a project funded by implemented by the District Agriculture Director’s Office by providing training and the plants to private land owners
(with more than 2 acres of land) so that they could have an additional source of income. The training programme included training on soil conservation methods. Furthermore, the soil conservation methods that are already conducted on the lands are also taken into consideration prior to distributing the plants. This took place over the year 2018 and the Department of Agriculture provided the funding.
