Information with regard to this project was provided by Mr. K.M.R.L Bandara: Regional Manager of Tea Small Holders Developing Authority (TSHDA) in Badulla. According to him, TSHDA has the program “Smallholder Tea and Rubber Revitalization” programme, or more commonly known as STARR, for rehabilitation of tea lands which has a soil rehabilitation component undertaking 18 months of soil rehabilitation prior to replanting activities.
